Devraha Baba and his Mahasamadhi
The Mahasamadhi of Devraha Baba is not merely the passing of a great saint, but his mysterious transition into a state of absolute omnipresence. Half a year before this event, Baba revealed to his devotees that an hour would come when he would take on another form of existence. He left us a great promise: his presence is now poured into every atom and every smallest particle of creation, and he will always be near to help anyone who sincerely calls upon him with all their heart.
The very moment of his passing, known as Brahmarandhra vedana, was filled with unearthly grandeur. Witnesses spoke of an incredible radiance pouring from his hut and passing through the walls. In that hour, thousands gathered at his machan: politicians and police, ordinary people and ascetics. But it was not only people who came for this last earthly darshan — creation itself fell still in reverence: beasts, birds and even spirits, beings in subtle bodies, gathered to see off the Master.

Yogini Ekadashi — 11 July
For our parampara, Yogini Ekadashi holds the deepest sacred meaning, for it is the day of the Mahasamadhi of Devraha Baba. In this period Baba’s energy manifests with special force, so the celebration is extended to seven days, that everyone may take part in the rituals and express their devotion.
The highest form of honouring the teacher in these days is practical service: following Ahimsa, caring for cows and helping the needy. Baba taught that to feed the hungry or wipe the tears of the weeping is greater than years of prayer.
By performing good deeds and taking part in common prayers, we not only show our love but also, in Baba’s words, help him to “wash away” the karma of the world, purifying our own souls in the process.
